Roy passed away on March 30, 2006
 
We were notified of Roy's death by his son, Daniel .

Enlisted in the US Navy on December 10, 1942, withb the rank of Seaman 2/C.

Reported on board the USS Harry Lee on August 19, 1943.

Promoted to Fireman 3/C on November 1, 1943. Promoted to Fireman 1/C on January 1, 1944. Promoted to Electrician's Mate 3/C on April 1, 1944, and to EM2/C on July 1, 1945.
